East Kentwood Students Perform with Grand Rapids Symphony
Several students from East Kentwood High School performed recently with the Grand Rapids Symphony at DeVos Hall in downtown Grand Rapids. These students were selected to participate in the Mosaic Scholars Program for the 2015-16 school year. Mosaic Scholarships are designed to provide talented African-American and Hispanic instrumental students in the Grand Rapids area with the opportunity to develop their musical skills and to immerse them in the world of classical music. All of these students have been studying privately with professional musicians from the Grand Rapids Symphony. Mosaic Scholars perform with the Grand Rapids Symphony at the annual Symphony with Soul concert at DeVos Hall in downtown Grand Rapids.
