SPARTA, Mich.—A music tour aimed at preventing bullying among teenagers is making its rounds in West Michigan.

The Teen Nation Anti-Bullying Music Tour kicked off Monday morning at Sparta High School.  The 90-minute performances feature young Top 40 recording artists who are also speaking out against bullying.  This tour’s headliners include  former ‘X Factor’ contestant J Ryan, 14, of San Antonio, Texas; and Tristan Blaine, 14, of Frisco, Texas.  Additional guest performers include Faith Marie Shirley, 15 of San Antonio, Texas; Collin Kozola, 17, of Naperville, Illinois, Radio Disney star Celeste Kellogg, 18, of Smithville, Virginia; and Branden Mendoza, 20, of New Carney, Texas.

The school concert assembly schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, April 14 at 12:30 p.m. – Cedar Springs Middle School
  • Tuesday, April 15 at 9 a.m. – Wyoming Intermediate
  • Tuesday, April 15 at 1 p.m. – Wyoming Junior High School
  • Wednesday, April 16 at 9 a.m. – Highlands Middle School
  • Wednesday, April 16 at 12:30 p.m. – Crossroads Middle School
  • Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. – MAX PAC
  • Thursday, April 17 at 9 a.m. – Godwin Heights Middle School
  • Thursday, April 17 at 1 p.m. – North Rockford Middle School
  • Friday, April 18 at 9 a.m. – Crestwood Middle School
  • Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. – Valleywood Middle School
  • Monday, April 21 at 9 a.m. – Pinewood Middle School
  • Monday, April 21 at 1 p.m. – Byron Center West Middle School
  • Tuesday, April 22 at 8:30 a.m.- Kenowa Hills Middle School
  • Tuesday, April 22 at 1 p.m. – Kenowa Hills High School

The Teen Nation Tour kicked off in January.  This is the campaign’s eighth stop. Teen Nation Tour is expected to reach an estimated 500,000 children at more than 330 schools and public venues this year.
