Fashion’s Night Out GR comes to Kentwood

Fashion’s Night Out GR comes to Kentwood

By Bri Kilroy

Get ready to receive the red carpet treatment, complete with champagne and cupcakes! On Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 6 pm-11 pm Grand Rapids will join cities like Milan, Atlanta, and New York City for Fashion’s Night Out, the most exciting fashion night in history. Grab some friends, your purse, and give yourself permission to splurge in style because this is the night you’ve been waiting for.

“For one night, we get to act like a big city,” says Jim Murray, general manager of A.K. Rikk’s, the fashion boutique sponsoring the event. A.K. Rikk’s, located at 5761 28th Street SE, will also have a pop-up store at the Richard App Art Gallery located at 910 Cherry St. SE.

Fashion’s Night Out proves that you don’t have to drive the four hours to Chicago or fly to New York to find places to shop. The goal is to heighten awareness of local stores and salons, as well as support the businesses nestled in business districts throughout greater Grand Rapids.
