Summer Reading is just around the corner! Starting June 1, the whole family can sign up for Summer Reading @ KDL and have fun reading this summer! This year, the program runs from Friday, June 1 through Friday, August 31.

Kentwood Senior Chorale's Spring Concert - Thanks for the Memories

Friday, May 18th, 7:00pm, Heritage Baptist Church

The Kentwood Senior Chorale, sponsored by the Kentwood Parks & Recreation Department Senior Enrichment Program, are a mixed chorus of 45 music lovers who enjoy practicing and presenting accomplished programs of popular, sacred and patriotic music. The Kentwood Senior Chorale, professionally directed by Bob Azkoul, perform from October-May for local nursing homes, senior centers, schools and service organizations. Our season highlight is the annual Spring Concert! This year's theme "Thanks for the Memories" will feature the dramatic musical "What Price Freedom".

Refreshments will be served.

Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra to play at East Kentwood High School

On Saturday, May 19th, the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra will be special guest at the 9th Annual East Kentwood High School Jazz Dinner Dance. Come out, dance the night away and enjoy a great time with music by East Kentwood's award winning jazz ensembles and see one of Michigan's premier professional jazz bands in concert.

For more than 35 years, The Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra has been setting the pace of jazz music featuring some of the finest musicians in the area playing swinging original compositions and arrangements as well as traditional favorites.

The program is from 6-10 p.m. in the East Kentwood Freshman Campus Cafeteria. The Olive Garden Restaurant is providing dinner.
