My Town Kentwood: New park feature opens to public Nov. 25

KENTWOOD, Mich.—A new feature at Northeast Park will officially open to the public Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Community leaders will cut the ribbon to the Northeast Park boardwalk at 10 a.m. The wood-planked walkway cuts through a portion of the park’s 64 acres.

Northeast Park is located at the end of Middleground Drive, off Forest Lake Drive near I-96 in Kentwood.  The park features a playground, basketball court, ball diamond, pavilion and trails.  The park was developed using city millage funds, the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund and private donations.
