WKACC is excited to announce that our 2012 Grub Crawl will be on Tuesday, April 24th from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

Wondering What a Grub Crawl Is?

The 2012 Grub Crawl is a food & drink sampling tour featuring scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and special libations, presented by participating restaurants located between Kalamazoo in the east and S. Division on the West. Participants in the Grub Crawl will be transported by shuttle service, on a continuous circuit between the participating restaurants, with stops at each restaurant every 15 minutes.

Host restaurants will have specialty appetizer samples for you to taste and low priced drink specials to purchase at each location. Grub Crawlers may remain at each location for as little or as long as they desire.

SILENT AUCTION
Our 3rd Annual Silent Auction is an exciting event that features sports ememorabilia, trips, hotel/restaurant packages, event tickets and more! Auction will run from 6pm-8pm during Taste of Kentwood. Proceeds from the Auction benefit our Youth Sports Programs.

Smashburger opens second Grand Rapids location

PRESS RELEASE

Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant will open its second Grand Rapids location today, Tuesday, October 25, 2011. The restaurant will open at 2650 East Beltline at 28th Street in front of Centerpointe Mall. Smashburger will bring 100-percent Certified Angus burgers, an array of signature sides, and delicious handspun Haagen–Dazs shakes to the thousands of Grand Rapids residents in that area that have yet to have the Smashburger experience. This is the second of seven Smashburger restaurants slated to open over the next three years in the Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Holland markets.

Kentwood restaurants to participate in Restaurant Week Grand Rapids

Experience Grand Rapids has revealed the participating restaurants in this year's Restaurant Week Grand Rapids, and there are even participating restaurants in Kentwood.

70 restaurants have signed on to the event, which will run from November 3 through November 13th. In the Kentwood area, Fire Rock Grille and Spinnaker will be part of the celebration.

Most establishments will offer a creative 3-course menu for $25 per person (not including tax or tip). Some restaurants will offer a 2-for-$25 menu to appeal to more budget conscious diners.

The menus will be unveiled the week of October 10th.

What restaurant serves the best hamburger in Kentwood?

Hey Kentwood!

WZZM13 wants to know what restaurant serves the best hamburger in your community. Please voice your opinion by completing the poll below. If your favorite isn’t on the list, choose other and enter it into the comment section below.

Then, the week of July 5th, we’ll have a poll on our WZZM13 Facebook page that consists of the top hamburger places from each of our 21 My Town communities.

Throughout the week of July 11th, our very own Lee Van Ameyde will visit each of the top five restaurants to sample their hamburgers for a segment that will air on WZZM13.

Finally, on Friday, July 15, we’ll reveal the restaurant that serves the best hamburger among our My Town communities.
