Hello everyone,

I am very excited to tell you about an event that we will be hosting at the KPS Aquatorium. On Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00 am we will be trying to break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest simultaneous swim lesson. Our facility will be one of seven hundred facilities across the globe cooperating to hold a lesson at the same time in order to break the record. The 2010 Guinness World Record stands at 3971 participants from 34 states and 5 different countries. This year the record is expected to be broken by an estimated 30,000 participants.

Here are the details of the event:

Registration 10:00 - 10:45 am

The lesson will start at 11:00 am sharp and go until 11:45 am

The lesson is open to all ages, younger children can have their parent in the water with them.

Every person participating in the lesson will count towards breaking the record.

Our water safety instructors are volunteering to bring this event to the community at no cost to the participants!

While the title is World’s Largest Swim Lesson, unfortunately, space is not unlimited.  We only have room for the first 75 participants who register and we would love to have the registration close by Thursday June 9, 2011 at 8:00 pm.  We also want our portion of this record breaking aquatics event to benefit the KPS family so we are only promoting this internally.  This is an exciting opportunity so act fast and represent the Falcon family and take the plunge.

For more information or to sign up please reply to me or call the pool office at (616) 698-6700 Ext. 42335.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
